“…‘O my Sustainer, increase my knowledge!”
Muslim Educators’ Resource Information Training Center
Serving those who serve Muslim schools
Dear Islamic School Educator,
Salaams and welcome to your new resource center! Finally, a new non-profit Islamic educational organization is born, MERIT, Muslim Educators’ Resource Information and Training Center. I have envisioned establishing a resource center for Islamic schools for a long time and now this dream is a reality. After twelve years of working as school head at New Horizon School and enjoying the achievements of establishing a successful school and dealing with daily challenges, I am very happy to share my experiences with other Muslim educators by establishing an organization to assist Islamic schools and Muslim educators.
I know how challenging your job is between leading and managing your school, to answering the needs of students, teachers, parents and the board. I know because I also experienced these challenges and the isolation that administrators often feel. Many leaders at Muslim schools yearn for interaction with other Muslim educators to learn from their experiences, brainstorm solutions to their challenges and celebrate their successes. Now you have MERIT to fulfill these wishes and much more!
I invite you to become a member of MERIT and consider MERIT as your organization. For a limited time, we are offering complimentary membership. Please enjoy the resources available here, and visit this website regularly since we will be adding new information often.
MERIT, Muslim Educators’ Resource Information and Training Center is registered as a non-profit organization and has a federal tax ID number, 20-4018256. My next goal is with your assistance, to shape and refine this new educational organization to answer your needs. As we begin our strategic planning and set our strategic priorities, we welcome your feedback and suggestions.
